On October 29, 2024, Xiaomi held a major launch event in Beijing, China, unveiling a wide range of new products, including the Xiaomi 15 series smartphone, the Xiaomi SU7 ultra-electric car, the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro, Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S4, Xiaomi Mesh System BE3600 Pro Wi-Fi system, Xiaomi Smart Door Lock M30 Series, Mijia Air Conditioner Top-Outlet Pro, Mijia Multi-zone Refrigerator, Mijia Dual-drum Dual Washer Dryer, Xiaomi 165W PowerBank 10000, and HyperOS 2.0 Xiaomi's latest operating system.

The Xiaomi 15 was launched on October 29, 2024, in China and is priced starting around BRL 3,537 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage model, with a higher-end model priced at BRL 4,623 for 16GB RAM and 1TB storage in Brazil. This device introduces significant upgrades from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor—a step up from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the Xiaomi 14 series.

The Xiaomi 15's larger 5,400mAh battery (compared to the Xiaomi 14's 4,610mAh) and 90W wired and 50W wireless charging are two major upgrades that extend battery life and speed up charging. Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 features a 50MP triple camera system with improved telephoto capabilities, allowing the Pro model to be zoomed up to 10X without loss. Additional enhancements include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and an IP68 dust and water-resistant rating.

For a more luxurious look, the Diamond Edition trades the glass for a crocodile-textured leather back and features a 57-facet diamond embedded on the side. This version also has a unique sparkle effect around the camera island and comes in Elephant Gray, Orange, and Glacier White. It's a limited-edition release, with availability likely restricted to the Chinese market.

Finally, with a back panel that comes in 20 different colors and two shiny metal frames, the Custom Edition offers even more personalization. Although this model is limited to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variants, users can customize it with different color and finish options.
